January just flew by. For the first half of the month, we were looking to find our next apartment. Did we mention we moved?? Moving is always a daunting task in New York City. But when you’re us, you’re prepared with everything you need. When you go in to apply for an apartment, you have everything ready to go because NYC apartments move so fast. It’s what got us our last place–we were 6 seconds faster than another applicant–and that’s what got us this apartment. Well, maybe our son helped with that ;).

But we’re settling in, unpacking the last few boxes, and getting to know the new neighborhood. These are our five favorite things that got us through the month.

First of all, these photos are mouth-watering. When we saw Butternut Bakery Blog post this recipe these photos, our mouths fell to the floor. If you know us we love our boxed brownie mix. But these–oh my. We are going to try these brownies out this weekend.
