Our boozy popsicles were a lot of fun to make. These watermelon basil margarita popsicles are based on one of our favorite margaritas. To be honest, this one is my favorite. For more boozy popsicles, check out this post!
Heads up! You’ll want to make these the day before. The popsicles should sit in the fridge for about 12 hours to set. In need of a popsicle maker? Here’s the one we have!
Watermelon Basil Margarita Popsicles
For the basil-thyme simple syrup, check out the watermelon margaritas linked at the top of the post.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Basil-thyme simple syrup
- 1 shot Lime juice
- 1 1/2 cups puréed watermelon
- 1/2 shot Triple sec
- 1 shot Tequila
- Sliced limes are optional (serve no purpose other than for the photos)
Instructions
Soak popsicle sticks in warm water for about 30 minutes. This will help them from floating out of the popsicle mold.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, except for the limes (if using), and stir together.
Pour mixture into the popsicle mold, cover, and place in the freezer for about 12 hours.
Remove them from the freezer to eat, otherwise keep them frozen!
