We cannot believe how fast this year flew by. 2018 is over, but it was a great year. Having a baby means having many firsts: first Mother’s & Father’s Day, first Halloween, first Thanksgiving, first Christmas, first laugh, first words, first time sleeping more than 3 hours at night, first [insert cute baby thing]. However, our new year’s eve plans will be like the last few years and involve watching our eyelids drop at 9:30pm.

2019 will be a jam-packed year. Highlights include: our son turning 1, we turn 30, vacations, vacations, vacations, a handful of weddings, and so many more ‘firsts’ to see. While we’re looking forward to what’s to come in the new year, we’re being present on the last day of 2018 and being grateful for everything this year gave us. 3. Holiday Commercials

This is not sponsored, nor an endorsement for the following. Holiday commercials are always hit or miss. It’s always the same ads with the most annoying songs. However, there were a few commercials this year that got me. Facebook Portal, Google Home, and Toyota.

Pretty much all of Facebook Portal’s commercials were hysterical, but this was our favorite.

Google recreated scenes from Home Alone with a now 38 year-old Macauley Culkin for their Google Assistant products.

We love watching videos of our armed service members surprising their families. Toyota captured what it meant to a son waiting for his dad to come home.

4. Hayden

Hayden is Brian’s family dog. He just celebrated his 14th birthday. We were so excited for Liam to meet him at Christmas. Liam was so inquisitive and Hayden just sniffed and licked Liam’s face. It was adorable.

5. Aromatherapy Diffusers

We’ve had our little diffuser from InnoGear for a few years. We love it! With a little lavender, we set the mood for bed. A little citrus and we’re ready to conquer the world. Although it’s small, it’s been the best at diffusing essential oils.
