It seems as though the pineapple is the new owl. So we decided to add a new flavor to the Marquisrita lineup. We made a frozen Pineapple Margarita! Don’t you love our gold pineapple tumblers?
We’ve had quite the heat wave here in the city over the last week. As usual the 6 train has been awful. We’ve been waiting on a hot subway platform for more time than one should ever want to be on a subway platform in the middle of summer. So when we got home from work last Friday, we were in need of one of these.
Fatima and I like to have mini happy hours a few times a month. It gives us a chance to catch up with each other especially during the busier weeks when we don’t see that much of one another. Our shaken Marquisrita was also a product of our experimental happy hours in New Hampshire.
We wanted to twist up our classic Marquisrita and give it a new flavor. We ventured down the lime brick road and birthed the Pineapple Margarita. And to be honest, to also hop on this pineapple bandwagon.
It took a few experiments to get this one right. For me, Pineapple is very sweet. So I added in our frozen pineapple chunks one cup at a time until I just approached the boarder of too sweet street. If you find that the sweetness level needs to be increased, continue to add in more frozen pineapple chunks.
