Happy Father’s Day to all dads and father figures out there. This year, I made my Dad a custom Minion train for his collection. One thing about my Dad, he collects and builds all things trains. I wanted to do something custom for him this year since he’s the hardest person to find a gift for.
That’s a picture from one of our favorite rides at Story Land. And, yes, it’s a train. I loved Thomas the Tank Engine as a kid. I collected the whole fleet.
Did I say my dad loves Minions, too? Like most of the world, he gets a kick out of those cute, devious little yellow creatures. I wanted to be able to fuse his love of Minions and trains, and voila, came up with this! I found a package of Minion figurines on Amazon and searched for a flatcar. I glued them to the flatcar with super glue; it’s that simple!
This father’s day gift is so timely – the Minions Movie comes out soon! We are so excited to see them in action. Now, my dad has his own train of Minions headed for mischief!
