Another spooky season is wrapping up. This Halloween season was a good one. We made some new DIY, scrambled for last-minute costumes, and whipped up a bunch of new cocktails. Here’s our Halloween 2024 recap…but first, pumpkin picking and apple cider donuts!
Cocktails
We mixed up a ton of new cocktails this month, including some blackberry margaritas, blackberry whisky cocktails, and these apple cider cocktails.
DIY Projects
I crafted these new floating pumpkins for the living room with…craft pumpkins bought during last year’s post-Halloween sales–a whole year in the making!
Liam’s Train Time
This spooky season, we carved another Pumpkin Tunnel for the train tracks and build two new Halloween-themed track layouts in the house. We had a lot of spooky fun!

Costumes
Up until the weekend before Halloween, the kids wanted to be Paw Patrol characters. I was crafting a Rubble and a Chase. And then on October 21st, the kids came home and suddenly wanted to be a ghost and a spider. WHAT??! So, as adaptable and flexible parents, we pivoted to these new, easier costumes.
The ghost was an order right off Amazon. Blair loved it. The spider was semi-crafted.
To make the spider, Liam would dress up in all black: black pants, sweatshirt, and a hat. I hot glued googly eyes to the winter hat and attached a spider decoration to Fatima’s old black back pack. And voila: a spider costume in 10 minutes!
We hope you have a ton of spooky fun tonight! Happy Halloween!
