DIY Valentine's Day Card Craft for Kids

Our bodies know daylight savings is coming. We’re ready for it. February has been a whirlwind of unpacking (we moved!), getting settled, cleaning, and exploring our new neighborhood. For Liam, it’s been about exploring new foods, flavors, and crawling! God help

1. Chip

So far, Chip is our favorite bake shop in Astoria. All they make are cookies, baked fresh everyday. Only four different flavors of cookies are available daily. We’ve gone to Chip five too many times since moving in, but their cookies are just so delicious! We’re currently trying to figure out how they’re made so we can save money. It’s unlikely we’ll recreate these masterpieces, but stay tuned. In the meantime, we’ll be shoving our faces with these.

2. Baby & Infant Zippered Footed Pajamas

When it’s 3am and your baby’s finished a feeding and their diaper feels like it’s filled with five pounds of pee, there’s nothing better than being able to change them with little effort. We have such an appreciation for zippered footed pajamas. We’ve tried onesies and footed pjs with a ton of buttons. But we need to get in and get out so our son’s food coma turns into 3 more hours of sleep. Thank you to whoever invented these. If you’re looking for a recommendation, check these out at Target.

3. First Dance

We had the same reaction as Trevor Noah.

4. Picture Hanging Tool + Our Gallery Wall

So we moved to Astoria. More on that later. But we’re finally starting to feel settled in. When you move into a new place, the first things you need to do are: 1. decorate your fridge and 2. hang your frames. Your new place will feel like home even with a bunch of boxes piled around you. When we built our gallery wall in our previous apartment, it was an all-day event. I learned from my mistakes and invested in this picture hanging tool. We were able to plan and hang this gallery wall in under an hour and a half! It made the hanging process so much easier.

5. Rosemary Roasted Pears

What’s been so exciting about exposing Liam to new foods, is mixing and matching food and flavors. Once we cleared peanut butter, we jumped into seasoning and mixing up food. So far, his favorite has been this rosemary roasted pears mixture. It contains peanut butter, so we knew he’d love it. More importantly, can we talk about his hand modeling? No lie–he went for the spoon, Brian snapped away and this is what we got. In love.
