We’ve done a lot of crafting this season, and here’s another one for you to do with the kids in your life. Liam and I had a ton of fun making these puffy ghosts and puffy bats.
We used a lot of craft supplies we already had in stock. There were a ton of cotton balls and black pompoms left over from our summer of crafts.
Making the Puffy Ghosts and Puffy Bats
These are really simple to make and would be good for most ages. We didn’t have to leave our youngest out of this craft. The directions below are for both the ghosts and the bats. I’ll note where one direction is specific to the ghosts versus the bats, but otherwise, it’s pretty straight forward.

Supplies
- Cotton Balls
- Black construction paper or card stock
- Black pompoms (bats)
- White construction paper
- Googly eyes
Directions
- On black construction paper, draw a ghost or bat shape.
- Apply glue to a cotton ball or pompom (bats). Place within the shape. Repeat until the shape has been filled up.
- We also found that gluing sections of the shapes was a little easier. This way you glue a section, place all of your cotton balls, and drop glue on a new section.
- Allow glue to dry.
- Cut the ghost or bat out from the construction paper.
- Glue googly eyes to the ghost/bat.
- For the bat, cut little fangs out from white construction paper (small triangles).
- Allow the project to dry and then show it off!
That’s all it is, just some glue and cotton balls. Do you love crafting during spooky season? Let us know in the comments!
