Over the Christmas break, Fatima and I made a DIY photo booth for my family’s Christmas parties. On Christmas Eve, we celebrate with my mom’s side of the family and on Christmas Day we head down to the shores of CT to celebrate with my dad’s side of the family. Over the past few months, DIY photo booths have been such a hit at friends’ parties. So we thought we could have a fun activity during the parties while making some fun memories…
We were wrapping all of our gifts with brown paper and had a bunch leftover. While we were in Michaels, we found a cute little “Merry Christmas” sign and thought we could hang that up over the brown paper.
We scoured the internet for some photo booth props, found a few, printed them on card stock paper, and hot glued them to thin wooden dowels.
With my new Canon camera, I set it up on a tripod in the corner of the room, set the props nearby, and using a wireless remote, let people take their own photos. After uploading the photos to my computer, I sent them through Photoshop to apply a filter.
My goal was to get EVERYONE in the photo booth and I was able to just that. Here are some photos from Christmas. Would be great to build for a New Year’s Eve party…
