Disney Vacation Goody Bag

1 Mins read

We went on our first family vacation via a plane! We were anxious, excited, and we’re mentally prepared to parent in a different city. We were excited mostly for the destination: Disney World! As the family trip planner, I set up everything, including a special surprise for everyone. I gave everyone a Disney vacation goody bag.

This trip was to celebrate Liam’s 5th birthday. A big milestone. Huge! So part of the reveal was to give him Disney themed gifts, including this Brio Disney train. He loved it and was super excited about everything.

Family Disney World Vacation

If you’re going on a trip to Disney, you have to have Disney gear. I couldn’t let my family show up to Cinderella’s Castle looking like casual tourists. I surprised them with their own Disney vacation goody bag to jumpstart their Disney Park outfits.

These bags consisted of the essentials for each person: a t-shirt, Mickey ears, and a MagicBand. I couldn’t leave myself out, so I picked up gear for me, too! MagicBands were part of the hotel and park experience, but they didn’t need to know that. Liam was underwhelmed by the MagicBand at first. However, once he got to the park, he was scanning that thing everywhere.

Here’s what was inside everyone’s Disney goody bag:

Displaying Mickey and Minnie Ears

I didn’t want to put the Mickey and Minnie ears away in storage. When I look at my Sorcerer Mickey Ears, I am flooded with great memories from our trip. I tried some command hooks, but nothing quite looked right. So I went to Etsy and found these really fun 3D printed mounts. They look fantastic!
