While Halloween this year will look a little different, we were not going to let it getaway. This year, we transformed our son into Corduroy and took some photos.
Corduroy is a bear who once lived in the toy department of a big store. Day after day he waited with all the other animals and dolls for someone to come along and take him home.

Fatima’s favorite book from her childhood is Corduroy. Back in April, we said, “Let’s dress him up as Corduroy for Halloween.” Yes, we were a month into working from home and already we were trying to plan ahead to brighter days. I scrolled Amazon and found the two pieces that made this costume:
We first took some photos at home with his stuffed animals and carved pumpkins. They came out so cute, but I wanted to be out in the autumn leaves. So we hustled to the park. The leaves were fall-licious, but our son did not want anything to do with the photoshoot. He kept running away from us and into the trees. He was having so much fun in his costume and justed wanted to play. Can you blame him? We managed to get a few good ones and just let him continue running around.
Without our town’s kid’s Halloween parade, we decided to take this year a little easier and didn’t dress up ourselves. We still got to spend time together as a family. Besides, we have more fun arranging photoshoots with our son.
