Berry Smoothie

1 Mins read

Our most used appliance in the kitchen is our Nutribullet. Every day, I make sure to blend a smoothie for Brian and me to pair with our lunch. After trying a few green, fruit, and vegetable smoothies, we found this berry smoothie is our favorite. It pairs our favorite elements of the other smoothies into this one, delicious drink.

Berry Smoothie

With every smoothie, not only did we find out what fruits and vegetables overpowered everything, we saw a change in our bodies. While they tasted delicious, some of the smoothies with pineapple made us break out. We think it was due to pineapple’s high level of natural sugars. So we went back to square one and figure out a new blend and that’s how we ended up with this berry smoothie.

Berry Smoothie

This berry smoothie uses a banana, strawberries blueberries, spinach, greek yogurt, and orange juice. Bananas are rich with vitamins and minerals, like potassium, and help lower blood pressure. Strawberries help with anti-aging, memory, and eye health. Blueberries are high in antioxidants and are a heart healthy food. Spinach is chockfull of vitamins and minerals. Greek yogurt contains wonderful things like probiotics, protein, vitamin B12, iodine, and calcium. When I was pregnant, I would use the calcium enriched OJ, but we typically use the one with three times the Vitamin C and Zinc.
