Thanksgiving is over. Santa made his appearance at the Macy’s Parade. The Rockefeller Christmas Tree is about to be lit. The Christmas season has officially begun. Now I can play Christmas music out in the open and no one can tell me otherwise. Oh wait, I’ve already been doing that! When we decorated our apartment, I blasted this Christmas playlist. It was the perfect jumpstart to get into the holiday spirit.
Over the years, I’ve been collecting Christmas songs, old and new, into a one, mega Christmas playlist. However, I wanted to narrow down to the one (or two) of my favorite song versions and be the perfect background music for any occasion.
I wanted a Christmas playlist that could:
Help you decorate your house.
Set the atmosphere in your Christmas photo booth.
Be there for you as you sip wine on a cold winter’s night.
Help you sample Santa’s cookies by a toasty fire.
Get you through the crowded streets of New York City, while setting the tone for the all the decorations around you.
And serenade you while you cozy up in this coffee shop during the first winter storm (The Metropolitan Coffee House in North Conway, NH – you have to visit).
This Christmas playlist is great to run through, but also fantastic on shuffle, too! From one to fifty-six, here are my go-to Christmas songs. As more goodies come out (I’m rooting for Adele and Sam Smith to make a Christmas album together), we’ll update the list.
If this playlist doesn’t help you with any of these things, then go make your own playlist.
