Description

Easy recipe for turkey meatballs to turn into buffalo chicken appetizers, serve with pasta, or as sliders.

Ingredients

Units
  • 1lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup unseasoned panko
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 red onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix together the turkey meat, panko, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, diced red onion, oregano, basil, garlic powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and a pinch of red pepper flakes into a large bowl. Gently toss and mix everything. This is easiest with your hands, but feel free to use a spatula or other utensil to mix. Do not over mix!
  3. Form medium to large meatballs by taking about 2 tbsp of the meat mixture and rolling gently into a ball. Set aside and continue with remaining meat.
  4. Drizzle olive oil on your hands and roll the meatballs to coat each one. Place meatballs on a baking sheet.
  5. Place in the oven for about 12-14 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. Remove the oven and let sit for a few minutes. Remove from the pan and serve.
  7. Try these meatballs with traditional red sauce, red pepper sauce, or another sauce of your choosing!
