Description
Easy recipe for turkey meatballs to turn into buffalo chicken appetizers, serve with pasta, or as sliders.
Ingredients
- 1lb ground turkey
- 1 cup unseasoned panko
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/2 red onion, finely diced
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Mix together the turkey meat, panko, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, diced red onion, oregano, basil, garlic powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and a pinch of red pepper flakes into a large bowl. Gently toss and mix everything. This is easiest with your hands, but feel free to use a spatula or other utensil to mix. Do not over mix!
- Form medium to large meatballs by taking about 2 tbsp of the meat mixture and rolling gently into a ball. Set aside and continue with remaining meat.
- Drizzle olive oil on your hands and roll the meatballs to coat each one. Place meatballs on a baking sheet.
- Place in the oven for about 12-14 minutes or until cooked through.
- Remove the oven and let sit for a few minutes. Remove from the pan and serve.
- Try these meatballs with traditional red sauce, red pepper sauce, or another sauce of your choosing!
