Please join Jim and Holly’s families for their annual Toys For Tots Party. For over 30 years, Jim, Holly, and their volunteers, together with the local community have been collecting toys for children in New Haven County. This year, our 34th annual Toys For Tots collection drive will take place Thursday, December 12, 2024 (please refer to our Facebook page for up to date information).
Holly passed away in 2022. Our event continues the work Jim and Holly started in her memory.
How our Toys for Tots collection party began
In December 1990, two lifelong friends, Holly and Jim, decided to forego a joint birthday party (December 18th) and collect toys for children in need. In 1997, Holly and Jim opened up the collection to the public and partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots Program.
For the event and any collection boxes around the country: please bring an unwrapped toy for kids 16 y.o. and younger. All toys collected at our holiday party benefit children in New Haven County.
Although we are a large collection party, we do not represent the Toys for Tots Foundation. Please check out their site for more information.

Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The program was founded in 1947 by reservist Major William L. Hendricks.
