Summer Fun Bucket Gift Guide

1 Mins read

I love celebrating the everyday moments. I think I inherited that from my parents. Whether it was our 6th birthday or 21st, we always had a party. At the end of the school year, we’d celebrate with a trip to the toy store (I’d usually pick out something from LEGO). Aced an exam? Let’s celebrate. Got that lead role in a school play? A trip to Dairy Queen! Now, I’m finding every moment to celebrate with my kids. This year, we’re kicking off summer with a Summer Fun Bucket.

Boo Baskets for autumn. December 1st Baskets for winter. This summer bucket is no different. TLDR: they’re filled with some of my kids’ favorite things to enjoy over the summer: bubbles, water activities, essentials like bug bands and sunscreen, and activity books.

We have a busy summer ahead of us: day trips, weekend trips, pool days, summer camp, and big vacations. We already have to buy new swimsuits, water shoes, and other essentials for camp, so why not make it fun for the kids? They’ll get this on Friday, right ahead of summer’s opening weekend.

What do you put in a Summer Fun Bucket?

Anything your kids or the person receiving will love. Fill it with their favorite snacks, favorite activities, and useful things for their summer adventures. Think about your goal for the summer fun bucket. For me it’s to get the kids excited for summer through all the usual things we have to buy for camp and our vacations. I peppered in some games, workbooks, and toys to keep it fun.
