This year has been trying. However, there have been moments of levity. Growing up, we used to have family over for a whole day of baking a few weekends before Christmas. My Nana would bring over a pile of index cards with handwritten recipes and we would sift through them to find our favorite desserts. This year, I had a Zoom baking day with family and we all made some delicious things. I made these chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
Chocolate chip cookies are my all time favorite cookie. Classic, simple, sweet, and delicious. Doughier the better. Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter blossoms are my second favorites to make around the holidays. A chocolate chip oatmeal cookie from Pot Belly is my go-to snack during the work week. These peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are the best of everything I love.
Only one more thing to add to these peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies
I used Sally’s Baking Addiction’s recipe for these cookies. Except instead of all chocolate chips, I added in festive M&Ms.
These were so delicious and I highly recommend adding them to any cookie charcuterie board this holiday season.
