Last summer, we were a little preoccupied with wedding plans and didn’t get to have a whole lot of time to enjoy events in the city or go on weekend excursions – traveling back and forth to Connecticut was exhausting! This summer, we’re trying to stay planted in the city and enjoy summer as residents and take advantage of all the events like tourists – and maybe a few excursions outside of the city limits.
I think we’re in for a hot summer. We want to take advantage of the quick trips to Long Beach, Coney Island and any events outside, like NYC Parks’ movie series – even weekly al fresco brunches!
Every summer we always say, “Ok, we’re doing X, Y, and Z.” Yet 75% of those things fall through. To combat that cancellation rate, we’re trying to take a “Yes, man” approach and do everything that comes up.
I work well off of to-do lists – you should see my iCloud Reminder Lists! To help plan out the summer, we made a bucket list of things we want to do and places to explore. Look out for progress reports and updates to our list as more things come up!
