#LoveSummer: Beach Weekends

1 Mins read

After a beachless summer last year, we vowed to try to make this summer full of beach weekends. We won’t count our week in Cabo as part of this challenge, but we made the effort to get to the beach twice. Yes, TWICE!

Coney Island

Living in NYC, we are surrounded by beaches in Connecticut, New Jersey, Long Island, and even right here in the city.

Coney Island Boardwalk

Our first #beachweekend was at Coney Island and Brighton Beach. What’s great about this beach (once you get past the hour-long subway ride) is the free admission and the Coney Island boardwalk is right there. I love building sand castles. But when you leave your tools at home, the next best thing is to dig a hole and make a wet, mud drip castle.

Sand Castle

The second #beachweekend was to Long Beach. A personal favorite, Long Beach is relaxing, great food trucks are right on the beach, and the sand was soft. It was a great day to float in the water, ride the waves, and yes, build a sand castle!
