Immunity Smoothie

When I’m on the subway or walking to work, I cringe when I see people cough without covering their mouth. It’s gross. And if they’re sick, then I’m being exposed to their germs. Summer colds are the worst. Travel colds? Move over. As this post launches, we’re currently in the air on our way to Cabo. For the last few weeks, we’ve been drinking an immunity boosting smoothie to keep our immune systems strong in an effort to stay cold-free while on the beach.

With fall approaching next month (yes, let it set in now), this is a perfect smoothie to have up your sleeve if you feel like everyone around you is getting sick. Packed with antioxidants, vitamin C, iron, and potassium, this smoothie will make your immune system stronger than Superman, well not really, but ya know. And it’s extremely delicious.

Prep Time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: 2 minutes Total Time: 7 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Orange
  • 1-2 handfuls of blueberries
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 6 1-inch cut cubes of pineapple
  • 2 ice cubes (optional)
  • Water

Instructions

Add all ingredients above to a blender with some water.

Blend.

Pour in to a glass and enjoy.
