Homemade Guacamole

Guacamole is not really a holiday side, but it’s a yummy favorite of mine.  The avocados and tomatoes give it that holiday red and green theme to make it an addition to any holiday party!  I made homemade guacamole for the 1st time tonight, and it was a success!

Simple Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados
  • 1/2 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 2 limes
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Open the avocados and scoop out the insides.
  2. Mash avocados until creamy and still chunky.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and juice of 1 lime.
  4. Mix in green pepper, onion, and tomatoes.
  5. Taste and add more salt, pepper, and/or lime juice until perfect.
  6. Serve cold and enjoy!
