Apple Cider Mimosa Cocktail

1 Mins read

This weekend, we caught up with a close friend over homemade brunch. We had fresh fruit, made sweet potato hash, pumpkin brioche french toast, and enjoyed an apple cider mimosa…or two.

We have plenty of apple cider recipes on our blog: sangria, donuts, loaf cake, and margaritas. We might have more apple cider recipes than pumpkin! Surprisingly, we didn’t have one for an apple cider mimosa.

Let’s be clear, you’re using apple cider, not apple juice. There’s a huge difference. Making an apple cider mimosa is really easy. Start with a cinnamon sugar rim, pour in cider, and then sparkling wine. We prefer Prosecco, but add in your preferred sparkling wine, like Champagne.

Want to know a secret? Those champagne flutes are plastic and here’s an affiliate link to buy them for yourself.

Apple Cider MimosaWhen it comes to ratios, however, there is no perfect blend. If you want a stronger buzz, obviously you’ll be using more sparkling wine. Typically, you’ll use equal parts sparkling wine and apple cider. However, we like a little more Prosecco. My ratio is typically 1/2 apple cider (or orange juice) and 3/4 Prosecco.
