Description
These air fried french fries are golden, crisp, and easy to make at home with less oil and minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
- 2 russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- Canola oil for brushing
- Kosher salt
Instructions
- Peel and slice your potatoes into 1/4-1/2 inch sticks.
- Mist or brush the potatoes with a little oil for a crispier texture.
- Place in the air fryer basket, but do not fill more than 3/4 of the way.
- Turn on and set to cook.
- Halfway through, remove the basket and shake them up.
- Place the basket back in to continue to cook.
- Within 3-5 minutes of the end time (usually 18-20 minutes), check on the fries for doneness.
- Remove the fries to plates for serving and sprinkle with salt (optional).
- Let cool slightly before eating.
Notes
Avoid soaking the fries in water (like you may normally do for deep frying). We did this on the first attempt and the fries didn’t cook evenly.
