Description
These sweet and sour tofu sticks are a flavorful, plant-based finger food made with maple syrup and soy sauce, perfect for babies and surprisingly addictive for adults.
Ingredients
- 1lb extra firm tofu, drained
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoon sesame oil
Instructions
- Line plate with paper towel and place tofu on top and line with additional paper towel.
- Place a plate on top and weigh down with any canned food you have. You want to drain as much liquid from the tofu as possible.
- Let it set for at least 20 minutes.
- Once drained, cut the tofu into about 12 sticks and lay flat on a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine all your ingredients and pour over the tofu.
- Lets it marinade for an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Place tofu stick on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake for 30 minutes.
- Let cool and serve.
