I know I say this every time I try a new margarita recipe, but I found my new favorite margarita. Well, maybe my new favorite for the summer. These Peach Margaritas are everything. As Fatima and I were testing out the ratios for this cocktail, I closed my eyes and I was transported to somewhere hot. Not just dry heat, but swampy humidity. I saw myself sitting in a rocking chair on an open-air porch, like those old farmhouse mansions in the south, just sipping away on this margarita. That’s the feeling you get when you taste this.
When we were in Vegas for Celine Dion, we ended our night at Mesa Grill (located right next to The Coliseum). We ordered a few different appetizers, a couple of rounds of their white peach margaritas, and discussed the living legend we just in concert. The white peach margaritas were delicious. These are the inspiration for these peach margaritas.
This summer is for Peach Margaritas.

We could not find white peach juice, so we used Simply Peach Juice. Let’s also talk about how difficult it was to find 1. peach juice, 2. crème de pêche, and 3. ripe peaches. I will absolutely recommend Simply Peach juice for this (not sponsored). Don’t go crazy blending up peaches (but you totally can!) however, save yourself the time. Only one grocery store had peach juice in stock. I could only find TWO liquor stores in New York City (that had an available online shop) that sold crème de pêche. And one of those stores was SOLD OUT. So if you plan to make these, find and get your crème de pêche in advance of your party.
I used crème versus schnapps because I did not want to overpower the margarita with grain alcohol. I think a pêche de vigne might be ok, but I did not try that. And the peaches. No peaches at the farmers market, no ripe peaches at the grocery stores. Then I discovered that peaches are just coming into season…which makes this recipe very timely.
After the first iteration, Fatima and I agreed to cut back on the lime juice and let the peach flavor step forward. We added too much simple syrup at the start. So we cut down on the simple syrup until we had the right amount of sweetness. Fatima requested something fresh that could break up all the peach, so we added mint to the shaker.
A refreshing summer cocktail for those summer Friday happy hours. Simple syrup is very easy to make: 1 part water, 1 part sugar. Bring to a boil and let the sugar dissolve so it's clear. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Fill a shaker with ice. Add peach juice, tequila, crème de pêche, lime juice, simple syrup, and mint leaves to the shaker. Cover and shake until the outside is frosted. Pour into ice-filled glasses. Garnish with peach slices and mint leaves.Peach Margaritas
