These sloppy joes are a heartfelt tribute to my mom’s no-measure, flavor-packed cooking, and the joy of learning to cook with love.
Ingredients

- 6oz Can of Tomato Paste (Italian or Basil & Garlic flavored)
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 small/medium green pepper
- 8oz (1/2 can) of Hunts Manwich Sloppy Joes Sauce
- 1 tbsp. of McCormick Mild Chili Seasoning
- 1 tbsp. of olive oil
Instructions
- In a medium/large sauce pan heat 1 tbsp of olive oil and place on medium high heat.
- Once warmed, add the beef and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
- While the meat is cooking, chop up the green peeper into small pieces.
- After the meat has cooked through (no more pink), add in the green pepper. Cook for a few minutes until the pepper starts to soften, about 1-2 minutes.
- Next, add the tomato paste and combined evenly.
- Lastly, stir in the Hunts Manwich sauce and chili seasoning.
- Lower the heat to low heat and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Scoop onto prepared rolls and enjoy!
