Description

These sloppy joes are a heartfelt tribute to my mom’s no-measure, flavor-packed cooking, and the joy of learning to cook with love.

Ingredients

Units
  • 6oz Can of Tomato Paste (Italian or Basil & Garlic flavored)
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 small/medium green pepper
  • 8oz (1/2 can) of Hunts Manwich Sloppy Joes Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. of McCormick Mild Chili Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. of olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a medium/large sauce pan heat 1 tbsp of olive oil and place on medium high heat.
  2. Once warmed, add the beef and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. While the meat is cooking, chop up the green peeper into small pieces.
  4. After the meat has cooked through (no more pink), add in the green pepper. Cook for a few minutes until the pepper starts to soften, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Next, add the tomato paste and combined evenly.
  6. Lastly, stir in the Hunts Manwich sauce and chili seasoning.
  7. Lower the heat to low heat and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Scoop onto prepared rolls and enjoy!
