Last year, we did a lot of pumpkin crafts for Halloween. This year, I am trying to diversify with monsters, bats, and other creepy things. The ghost handprints were a huge hit with the kids, so we made these Frankenstein handprints in more Halloween cards.

We had another rainy weekend, so we spent the day building LEGOs, reading, and crafting. Liam and I were doing some Halloween crafts while Blair was sleeping. When Blair got up from his nap, he walked into the living room, saw Liam making these Frankenstein handprints, and shoved his hand in my face to show me he wanted to participate. So we made more!

Making the Frankenstein Handprints in our Cards

This is a really easy craft to make with the kids in your life. It’s great for kids of all ages! All this craft requires is paint, googly eyes, a card or paper, and markers. Let all the kids do handprints and let older kids finish the drawing. We chose to put these handprints in Halloween cards and send them around to family.

Supplies

Directions

  1. Using green paint, paint your kid’s palm (not fingers). Using black paint, paint their fingers.
  2. Palm down and fingers close together, push your kid’s hand onto the card stock/Halloween card. Be sure to apply a little pressure and gently lift.
  3. Allow the handprints to dry.
  4. Once the handprints are dry, glue on googly eyes on the green palm just below the black fingers (hair).
  5. Using markers, add a mouth, and side bolts on the neck
  6. Send them out to all of your family members.
