Christmas must be right around the corner if Harvey is back in our apartment. After he got in late last night, he filled us in on his adventure in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. In an effort to change careers, Harvey traveled there thinking he was cut out to be a wizard…
At last, Harvey arrived at Hogwarts. He could see his dreams coming true. He knew that if he could make it here, he could make it anywhere. Perhaps Dumbledore would be able to train Harvey and help him become the wizard he wanted to become.
Meeting with Dumbledore was eye-opening. He tried to show Harvey simple spells and even let Harvey take the Elder Wand for a spin. It was not a pretty sight.
Seeming down and out, Dumbledore explained to Harvey that, “It’s not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.” While Harvey may not become the wizard he hoped to be, he had a heart full of passion and determination. And that would allow Harvey to do wonderful, extraordinary things. Feeling slightly better, Harvey stopped in the Three Broomsticks for a frozen butterbeer. Soaking in his trip, Harvey realized he’s already good at what he does – making people smile.
